The study aims to determine the thoughts, feelings and attitudes of nurses towards organisational change in hospitals, and the effects of organisational cynicism, job satisfaction, organisational commitment and work alienation on nurses' attitudes towards change.
Changes and employees' thoughts, attitudes and behaviours can be mutually affected in the process of transformation.
The descriptive, correlative and cross-sectional study was conducted with 1,000 nurses in 52 public hospitals in Turkey.
Of the nurses, 59% explained that their workload had increased, and 57% experienced uncertainty and confusion due to the organisational changes in the hospitals. Nurses' total scale scores were 2.86±0.65 for attitude towards change, 2.98±0.52 for work alienation, 2.97±0.84 for organisational cynicism, 2.98±0.70 for job satisfaction and 2.74±0.92 for organisational commitment. Organisational cynicism had a significant effect on the attitude towards change of nurses (R=0.486; F=235.528; p<.001).
The nurses had a moderate level of attitude towards change, organisational cynicism, job satisfaction, organisational commitment and work alienation. The primary influence on their attitude against change was their cynical thinking.
The findings of the study can be used to test strategies to reduce cynicism regarding effective management of change.

Twenty-four young electrophysiologists being part of European Heart Rhythm Association filled questionnaire regarding arrhythmia management in AD.
Rheumatoid arthritis was the most commonly reported AD accompanied by cardiac arrhythmias. The most frequent observed arrhythmias were atrial fibrillation and premature atrial/ventricular contractions. Most often electrocardiographic abnormalities observed were increased heart rate variability, QT interval prolongation, and P-wave dispersion, whereas echocardiographic abnormalities included left atrial enlargement, pericardial infusion, and left ventricular dysfunction. The most useful tool for arrhythmia management was guidelines and evidence-based medicine, while training courses and websites were at least useful. A close collaboration with other specialists in arrhythmia management was reported in 58.3% of respondents. Glucocorticoids and cytostatic were the most reported arrhythmia-induced drugs, whereas amiodarone and beta-blockers were most effective antiarrhythmic drugs. The main reason that discouraged respondents from cardiac implantable devices implantation and catheter ablation was high infection complications risk and recurrences during long-term follow-up, respectively.
Scant data and guidelines enforce exchange of experience to improve the arrhythmia treatment in AD.

To investigate the characteristics and incidence of CD among hairdressers in north-eastern Italy.
A total of 324 hairdressers who had been examined and patch tested in north-eastern Italy from 1996 to 2016 were retrospectively identified, and compared with 9669 matched controls. Sensitization to allergens of the hairdressing series was analysed among hairdressers attending an occupational medicine clinic in Trieste, Italy. Incidence data were calculated from 1999 to 2016.
Sensitization to p-phenylenediamine, thiuram mix, and N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine was significantly associated with hairdressing and with hand/forearms dermatitis. Frequent sensitizers from hairdressing series were ammonium persulfate, toluene-2,5-diamine, and p-aminobenzene. The overall incidence of CD declined from 2003 (31.7 cases/10 000 workers) to 2016 (20.8 cases/10 000 workers).
Sensitization to several haptens was significantly associated with hairdressing. The incidence of CD among hairdressers in north-eastern Italy has declined in recent years, but is still high. Preventive efforts are needed to reduce the burden of CD in this professional group.

Such modifications affect the water binding and the rheological properties of the resulting systems. There is little information available on the behaviour of water molecules in model meat batter systems with microcapsules. The main goal of the study was to assess the degree of water binding by the meat batter system and to carry out a rheological analysis during heating and cooling.
The sample with the microcapsules was characterized by a slightly elevated level of total protein. The encapsulated oil additive reduced the pH and water activity value in the meat batter, compared with the control sample. There was one relaxation time Tand two time components Tin the control batter and the batter containing encapsulated oil. The sample with the oil additive was characterized by two components of relaxation time Tand three components of relaxation time T. There was an inverse correlation betwenical properties of poultry sausage batters and their water-binding properties. This may increase the juiciness and microbiological stability of the finished products. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry. The current study was conducted to assess whether a single administration of 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) interferes with cell proliferation and leads to the activation of apoptotic cellular events in the prenatal cerebellum. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/n-acetyl-dl-methionine.html BrdU effects across a wide range of doses (25-300?μg/g b.w.) were analyzed using immunohistochemical and ultrastructural procedures. The pregnant rats were injected with BrdU at embryonic day 13, and their fetuses were sacrificed from 5 to 35?hr after exposure. The quantification of several parameters such as the density of mitotic figures, and BrdU and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)-reactive cells showed that, in comparison with the saline injected rats, the administration of BrdU impairs the proliferative behavior of neuroepithelial cells. The above-mentioned parameters were significantly reduced in rats injected with 100?μg/g b.w. of BrdU. The reduction was more evident using 200?μg/g b.w. The most severe effects were found with 300?μg/g b.w. of BrdU. The present findings also revealed that high doses of BrdU lead to the activation of apoptotic cellular events as evidenced by both terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) assay and immunohistochemistry for active caspase-3.
